Financial Services has oversight responsibilities for all functions of the
department and is responsible for financial analysis and reporting of activity
for all funds in conformity with the City Charter and with generally accepted
accounting principles. Functions of the division include payroll, accounts
payable, budget monitoring, grant administration, audits of fiscal compliance
and financial procedures, accounting of fixed assets, preparation of bank
reconciliation's and the general accounting for all City funds. Activities of
the City are examined and evaluated with the objective of assisting management
in the effective discharge of its responsibilities and the safeguarding of
assets.
